Två hundar av rasen pit bull råkade i bråk med varandra, polis tillkallas och därefter finns det två versioner av vad som egentligen hände.
Polismannen som kom till platsen gick fram till hundarna, sparkade och sköt samtidigt en av dem. Innan hunden dog skall den ha viftat på svansen, vilket fått många djurvänner världen över att reagera.
Lekte hundarna bara med varandra eller var det en så allvarlig attack att inget annat än ett dödande skott var den enda lösningen?

The Schutt family say they opened the door in their Ocoee home in Orlando after a policeman called on them to return an ID card on September 18,Click Orlando reported.
Jackie Schutt claims that when she opened the door, her pet Boxer dog Laila ran to the front door and out on to the porch.
She then says the police officer pulled out a gun and shot her three-year-old pet three times without any warning, in front of her two young children

There are no national records of dogs shot by cops.
There isn’t even good national data on the number of people shot by police.
As a result, there’s no way to tell if pet killings by police are increasing in frequency. The increased attention may be due to awareness or to news outlets more likely to report them. Pet owners also can publicize the incidents through social media. And with public surveillance, cell phone cameras, and security cameras, there is more likely to be video of a shooting.
In recent years, police officers have shot and killed chihuahuas, miniature dachshunds, Wheaton terriers, and Jack Russell terriers. Last month, a California police officer shot and killed a boxer puppy and pregnant chihuahua, claiming the boxer had threatened him. The chihuahua, he said, got caught in the crossfire. When a San Bernardino, Calif., woman called police to report a burglary in progress behind her house last month, they responded, jumped her fence to confront the burglars, then shot her dalmatian mix, Julio. He survived. Police officers have also recently shot dogs that were chained, tied, or leashed — obviously posing no real threat to officers who killed them.

Fatal dog bite-related incidents are extremely rare. We live in a society where there are about 75 million dogs living in homes. Dogs share our beds, our couches and our hearts. However, each year, about 30 of these 75 million dogs are involved in fatal incidents. This number is microscopic and each incident is astatistical anomaly. Each year, about 124,000 people die from accidental deaths. The vast majority of them (42,000) are from motor vehicles, 23,000 are from accidental falls and some 30,000 are due to poisoning. So .02% of all fatal accidents are from dogs and .00004% of dogs are involved in fatal incidents. It happens, but it’s exceedingly rare. Meanwhile, humans kill millions of dogs in this country every year due to our own failures.

Det är synd att det skall alltid klagas på pitbullarna, amstaffen o.d. Dom flesta är faktiskt jättefina hundar..
Dog News hade ingen avsikt att ”svartmåla” en viss ras, vi tyckte det var ett fruktansvärt sätt att avbryta ett slagsmål på, hade varit bättre med annan metod eventuellt nedsövning eller annat som inte skadat hunden.

Labrador Retriever Kills Baby August 24, 2012
A 2 month old baby boy was murdered by a Labrador Retriever mix earlier today in Ridgeville, South Carolina. The attack occurred when the father of the baby was taking a nap with a 3 year old and the mother was out of the home with a 7 year old child. The infant was left sleeping in a baby swing outside of the room where the father was.

Golden retriever mix kills baby in South Carolina April 20, 2012
A two-month-old boy was killed by his family’s retriever Friday morning while his father slept and his mother was at the doctor with another child, authorities said.
Aiden Lee McGrew, born on Valentine’s Day, died after he was bitten multiple times and dismembered by a dog inside his home at 151 Sandpit Drive in rural Dorchester County, Dorchester County Coroner Chris Nisbet said.
